TrackNFC

We are the Caldicoders. We were tasked with revolutionising the Work In Progress (WIP) board used by Microchip Technologies Inc. to track their assembly parts. When we started, it was a magnetic whiteboard that used different colour magnetic pins to track parts coming in, and going out. After heavy discussion, the team decided that we were going to use NFC chips to create a passive system that would track the number of parts of each component on the shelf at any time, before automatically updating a digital WIP board to reflect this.
